A Scout classic.
¼ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup raisings
2 tablespoons chopped nuts
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 large tart baking apples (Macintosh, Granny Smith)
2 tablespoons butter, cut into quarters
1. Combine brown sugar, raisins, nuts and cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
2. Core apples and place on individual sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil.
3. Spoon mixture evenly into the center of each apple. Top with butter and wrap tightly in foil.
4. Place on a preheated grill and cover. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
